Surfing with dolphins, Ocean Divine Maldives trip report

Another fantastic week aboard Ocean Divine where we welcomed another group of great people from Australia, this time from in and around Sydney. We love the Aussies.

Our friends this week chartered Ocean Divine for an exclusive week of great diving and surfing, plus the wonderful experience of free diving.

The southern winds hit early in the week and meant the surf in the north was not great. We ventured to the South Male Atoll where hosts Gaelle and David shared their knowledge and experiences from their many years in the Maldives, and the guests were treated to a visit to the stunning virgin island of Rihiveli and the infamous and exclusive "Lonu bo" sand bank.

The surf wasn't great during the week so many of our guests undertook their PADI open water dive ticket and dived every day. There were many sharks spotted during the dives with a feature for our guests watching David feed a large shark (Check out the video on our You Tube  and Facebook  pages). Our talented Chef Razu prepared first class restaurant quality dishes for our guests each day, with very special birthday dinner and cake prepared for one of our guests.

Later in the week we travelled back to the North where our guests surfed for the remainder of the trip, and where they had the wonderful experience of surfing surrounded by dolphins. A number of the guests also had the opportunity to free dive with them as well, a memory they will never forget.
